With the Paris 2024 Olympics approaching, India aims to send a larger contingent of athletes and surpass its medal tally from the Tokyo Games. To ensure a successful campaign, Indian athletes must navigate the stringent qualification process.
Two Paths to Qualification
Athletes can earn their spot at Paris 2024 through two avenues: achieving the entry standard for their respective event or securing a qualification place within their National Olympic Committee (NOC). NOCs can enter up to three qualified athletes in each individual event who have met the entry standard.
Expanded Olympic Program
The upcoming Games will feature an expanded program, including 23 women's events, 23 men's events, and two mixed events: the 4x400m mixed relay and the 35km mixed team race walk. This increased diversity offers more opportunities for athletes to showcase their talents and contribute to India's overall medal count.
