Heavy Rain Cited as Contributing Factor to Multi-Vehicle Collision
GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - One person is in critical condition following a 10-car pileup on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Troopers responded to the scene of the crash, which occurred near mile marker 190, just before 5 p.m. EST. Preliminary investigations indicate that heavy rain may have contributed to the multi-vehicle collision.
A total of 10 vehicles were involved in the crash, including several passenger cars and commercial trucks. One person was critically injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
